Estd. 27th Oct 2011

Regd. No. 33/SR/2017 CCP

Project run by the Presbyterian Women Fellowship(KSP):- 2011-2020.

  1. Formation Of “The Good Shepherd Home”: It was fisrt introduced on 15th January 2010, PWF(KSP) 42nd  Session & 2nd Biennial Conference at Leilon Presbyterian Church. The main reason behind the formation of “The Good Shepherd Home” was that by seeing the suffering of a deprived children separated from their biological parents we the PWF(KSP) had a severe feelings about their present suffering as well as about their future. From that very moment willingness to run an orphanage home began. To start/begin the project it was agreed that in each and every household the PWF member should store a handful  of  rice each time they cook and submit it to the office monthly. The PWF OB, KSP executive Seretary, i/c PWF  and  the Project board member were given most of the responsibilities.
  2. Construction of the Building: According to the agreement  of PWF(KSP) Committee member and KSP leaders  On 24th November 2010  place for settlement of  Orphanage Home was settled at K. Salem(KSP mission field).  After, the efforts taken by the PWF(KSP) leaders, O.B, project board members, church members, etc a sum of ₹ 70,000 was collected. And On 4th April 2011   with the estimate done by Elder Thienkhomang, S.Kotlian the foundation was began after prayer. Fortunately, the construction of “The Good Shepherd Home” was completed with an expenses of ₹ 5,00,000 on 21st October 2011. It was inaugurated by Rev. Marta Rodriguez on 27th October 2011.
  3. Aim and Objective: As the foundation itself visualized a significant role to play our main aim and objective is:-
  1. The often deprived, abandoned and neglected children could feel at home (care and protection)and to create a positive environment for them, on the basis of social, spiritual and professional development.
  2. To provide all their financial needs, helping/supporting them in pursuing their goal and guide them in their career till they achieved/reached their ambition.
  3. As an orphanage spiritual life often experience an internal contradiction they usually find it hard to comprehend themselves that God loves them. So, our aim is to save their soul by teaching them the Gospel.
  4. Lastly, to give a special advice, support, motivate, care and guide so that they could have the ability to stand on own feet.
  1. Main source of Income: Our one and only source of income was that “Storing a Handful of Rice daily” and it was usually submitted to the office monthly by all the units of the PWF(KSP).
  2. The Process of adopting children and their Schooling: After, the completion of construction “The Good Shepherd Home”as agreed by the PWF(KSP) Committee members, notice was given to all the unit under the “Khuga Sadar Presbytery”.
